Community Services may be accessed by any individual having a disability who requires such support; and is therefore not restricted to any age bracket or type of impairment. However these Services are directed by the following criteria:

1. Priority is given to individuals having a disability with challenging behaviour, at high risk of being institutionalised, or in high need.
   
   
2. The prospective client and/or family has been assessed as requiring and benefiting from the range of services and resources currently available.
   
   
3. The person with a disability, his/her family, and/or service providers are willing to participate in the Individual Support Plan and Person Centred Plan process. This person, his/her family, and/or service providers are involved as per the requirements of the particular service.
