About SAPPORT BulletVolunteer Programme

SAPPORT recognises and values the contribution of Volunteers in enhancing the lives of clients, in conjunction with the work of paid staff. Volunteers are valued as an essential element in achieving its mission.

SAPPORT is therefore committed to working with Volunteers. Volunteer involvement in appropriate tasks and projects is welcomed, encouraged and actively developed at all levels of the Agency's activities. For this purpose, SAPPORT has drawn up and introduced in 2005 its Policy on Volunteers to provide guidelines for such Programme.

The Agency upholds the following definition: A Volunteer is an individual who has internalised the vision and the mission of SAPPORT and would be ready to give time or other resources to the Agency particularly in areas where s/he is competent and to commit her/himself for a period of time against no charge.

In order to ensure that volunteering is a positive experience both for the Agency and for the Volunteers concerned, the Agency upholds the a set of guidelines as stated in its Policy on Volunteers.
