The Committee will assess the needs of the person with a disability and his/her family, the suitability of the available service, and recommend the selected individual for the service.
SAC will review the circumstances of individuals whom the Programme is no longer able to meet their needs. This will allow the Committee to explore alternative support systems within the available resources.
SAC will follow SAPPORT Service Allocation Policies & Procedures, as well as the vacancy profile developed by the Agency Programmes.
These vacancy profiles are developed based on the Agency's mandate to support those with challenging behaviour, high needs, or at risk.
SAPPORT Abuse Review Team
SAPPORT, ever conscious of its significant role in the day to day life of its clients, has set up the SAPPORT Abuse Review Team (SART) in order to guarantee that clients' needs are being sufficiently and suitably addressed and that clients' rights are protected at all times. Such formal structure, at such an early stage in the Agency's development, puts clients at the very centre of SAPPORT's remit ensuring quality service and client accountability at all times.
SART is an internal Agency body and is convened to investigate all client-related incidents and/or serious occurrences whereby an allegation of abuse is suspected or has been actually witnessed.
Human Resources Committee
SAPPORT acknowledges the important and central role that its employees play in the delivery of its services. It has thus set up the Human Resources Committee (HRC) to examine all Agency employee-related incidents and address employment issues in order to guarantee that the needs and grievances of its employees are being sufficiently and suitably addressed and their rights are being protected.
HRC is an internal Agency body and is convened to investigate all employee-related incidents and grievances.
